The Director-General of the Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (Dhaman), Abdullah Ahmad Al-Sabeeh welcomed Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Eng. Tareq Al-Mulla.
Both sides completed the talks that were held in Cairo in mid-March 2022 regarding ways of promoting bilateral cooperation and how to make foreign companies investing in Egypt’s oil and mineral projects as well as foreign and Egyptian companies working in the sector, which export their products to other countries, benefit from the corporation’s insurance services in the fields of investment and exporting.
The volume of the corporation’s operations in Egypt – as an importer of commodities and host of investments – hit around $1.9 billion between 2008 and 2022, making up 8.5% of the corporation’s total operations. Comparatively, the corporation’s operations in Egypt, as an exporter of commodities and investment, amounted to $321 million, accounting for 1.5% of the corporation’s total operations during the period.
Several officials of the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, along with some officials of the corporation were present at the meeting that was held at the corporation’s headquarters in Kuwait.
